I found the white rose centre really pleasent as they had a seperate room with nice chairs and nice decoration
The only places I've breast fed in Leeds city centre are Boots baby room (very smelly but OK) M&S baby room (my prefered option as it's usually quite and not smelly at all). I've also breats fed in cafe's such as Toast and Roast and they are both family freindly places. Another good option is the bar/cafe area of Hotels in Leeds such as the Novotel and the Hilton. They have good 'booth s' which provide quiet private areas.
New Leeds City Museum Ikea Marks and Spencer - Owlcoates Centre
Places I enjoyed BFing Boots in St.John's Centre Borders/Waterstones Leeds Museum Tiled Hall Cafe Costa Coffee, New Road Side, Horsforth
little legz on Dewsbury Road, very friendly and no disapproving looks. Polka Dot Kids soft play - Garforth - again very friendly , full of mums who dont mind how you feed your baby. Arndale Centre - Crossgates, I have sat on a bench and fed my daughter and not had a problem. Thackray Medical Museum/Cafe - staff fine with me breast feeding there and in fact a picture of me breast feeding my daughter is used in one of the displays!
I have never had any problems breastfeeding at Leeds University, and there are lots of seating areas throughout the campus-there's no dedicated feeding area but I think there is a policy that people are allowed to feed wherever they want. I've even breastfed in lectures when my daughter was very little and everybody was fine about it!
I suggest Create Cafe at Holy Trinity Church - it is not a cafe chain, is run with homeless people and has a really friendly feel and nice food and drink.
The cafe at Sainsbury's in Moor Allerton always seems quiet and has nice comfy sofas. I've breastfed numerous times there and always felt relaxed.
I've breastfed in the Starbucks cafe on the top floor of Borders. Nice comfy sofas and there's a 'nook' round the corner near the windows that's nice and private.
I find White Rose Shopping Centre is breastfeeding friendly. I think not many people actually know that there are a couple of breastfeeding rooms in the shopping centre.
At Baraka coffee shop (in Garforth) the coffee is great (good decaf) and the cakes are even better! They reserve a table for us and we wheel in about 7 buggies! We're all breast feeding and the cafe is very welcoming. It's a community cafe and the prices are really reasonable too. Fab place and can't speak highly enough of it.
Toilets in M and S in town (not that great but at least they cater for you)
Lakeside Cafe, Roundhay (of course! Everyone does it there!)
have enjoyed many a feed and coffee and cake at the lakeside cafe roundhay park and at the numerous spots to sit down in ikea!
The coffee shop in Borders in the city centre always seems to have a million feeders in it, no specific facilities for breast feeding but a peaceful discreet place to feed and read a book at the same time!
Ikea is nice as well, that little area in the café is a wee haven after a manic day in Ikea!
The White Rose Centre always comes to mind when I think of nice places, it has its own room just off the baby change area, with comfy chairs (more than one for friends!!!)
I always went to Boots in the centre of town - there is a nice rocking chair and even a curtain to go round it, if you want some extra privacy.
Temple Newsam has a really nice tea-room where you can breastfeed in comfort.
Not quite a place but I breastfed my son on lots of buses in Leeds!
I really enjoyed breastfeeding at BBs in Cross Gates as the staff were really friendly and no-one ever made comments about me breastfeeding there.
