Breast Buddies is involved in promoting breastfeeding and in campaigning
for greater acceptance of breastfeeding in public.

Antenatal workshops about breastfeeding- These are free, informal
workshops run by Breast Buddies volunteers, who are all local women
with breastfeeding experience. They are run in collaboration with
the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers.

- Young parents and breastfeeding- we recently worked with a young
parents group in East Leeds to produce material to promote breastfeeding
amongst young parents. The magazine can be viewed
here.

In association with Smalltalk magazine we compiled the top five breastfeeding friendly places
in Leeds. Borders and Boots came out top, followed by Marks and Spencer,
White Rose centre and IKEA. To suggest your favourite

- We are concerned that the Government appears to have
back-tracked over the proposals to ensure that mothers breastfeeding
babies can do so without fear of being asked to stop. Initially the
proposals were for babies up to 12 months but this appears to have
changed to six months. We support the petition to make breastfeeding
in public legally acceptable for all babies and children. To sign
